We are delighted to congratulate the families who graduated from one of FNC’s Nurturing Parenting Programs in summer 2024. The end of June and July saw graduation celebrations held in neighborhoods throughout the city, including the Department of Children and Families offices in Jackson Square and Chelsea, as well as a Nurturing Fathers’ Program for Haitian Creole speakers. The latter program took place over Zoom, and fathers in the cohort met in person for the first time to celebrate at a local park.

Each Nurturing Parenting Program is a feat of organization and commitment for those organizing as well as for the families enrolled. Over at least twelve sessions, participants and facilitators grow into a supportive group, develop relationship and caregiving skills, and challenge themselves and one another to become the parents they choose to be. Each graduation is a humbling and inspiring testament to the graduates’ commitment to show up for themselves, each other, and their families. Congratulations, graduates! You should be so proud!
