Fall Program Highlights from Family Nurturing Center

Welcoming Commissioner Kershaw

On October 26, FNC Dorchester was honored to welcome Amy Kershaw, Commissioner of the Department of Early Education and Care, with members of her team, for a listening session with leaders of the Boston Family Engagement Network. You can view the full photo gallery here.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

On October 19, FNC Allston-Brighton collaborated with Action for Boston Community Development and The Presentation School Foundation Community Center to hold a joyous Hispanic Heritage Month Cultural Celebration and Fall Festival with live music, face painting, and family activities.

Trunk or Treat

On October 26, FNC Dorchester and the Bowdoin Street Health Center came together for a Trunk or Treat celebration with a DJ, pizza, games, and dancing.

Breakthrough Parenting Graduation

FNC celebrated the graduates of this fall’s Breakthrough Parenting class with certificates of achievement, a photo booth, and festivities on November 5th. Congratulations to all participants for their commitment, perseverance, and growth!

Food is a Love Language

And on Friday, November 8, FNC Dorchester in collaboration with Little Cocoa Bean Co. hosted “Food is a Love Language,” a cooking class for parents and children. Chef David of Comfort Kitchen taught families how to make their signature jackfruit sliders in a home kitchen, creating a gourmet, kid-friendly meal together.
