Nurturing Program for Cape Verdean Families, Teens & Parents

Spring is almost here and so is our Cape Verdean Family Nurturing Program! This program, for families with children of all ages, is conducted in Cape Verdean Creole.  In age-appropriate groups, over the course of 15 sessions, family members will discuss the importance of communication, respect, and healthy development for everyone - with time for fun activities, songs, and a family meal together.

The program will be held on Tuesday evenings at the Dorchester Neighborhood House Charter School from 6:00-8:30 pm, with a target start date of Tuesday, April 11. Childcare is provided for all, and transportation is available for Dorchester families.

We're also recruiting for our Teen & Parent Nurturing Program, where teens and parents come together to develop the necessary skills to nurture each family member and learn how to use non-judgmental communication. This 13-session program will be held on Wednesdays, from 6:00-8:30pm, at the Hyde Park DCF Area Office, with a target start date of Wednesday, April 12.
