Parent Partners work in collaboration with Parent Partner teams to deliver early childhood development and family engagement activities, including but not limited to: Welcome Baby Home Visits; Ages and Stages Questionnaires; playgroups; diaper pantries and other distributions of essential goods; and parenting education programs, as assigned. This position will work primarily with newly-arrived Haitian families with young children, including those living in shelters. Fluency in Haitian Creole and English are essential for this role.

Under the direction of Family Nurturing Center’s Director of Coalition and Community Building, the Community Outreach Specialist provides engagement and outreach efforts to families and communities impacted by violence throughout all time points of response and recovery.

The Community Outreach Specialist is part of a team that offers individual and community trauma response services immediately following an incident of violence including; a standard set of support services to impacted family and friends; and community outreach efforts that engage the broader community. The Community Outreach Specialist will collaborate closely and work as a team with all CHRN staff.
